There's no promise of future payment or future work for the winner (except, perhaps, exposure and the chance at a conference pass). And if Carsonified <em>do</em> turn this into some sort of promotional highlight reel, more than just the one "winner" will benefit from the exposure. Also, they're not asking for professional submissions here, so this is no more degrading to the profession of videography(?) than a coloring contest would be to professional design.
