Young and Kicking Ass

As you all know, we run events for web designers and developers. However, students and young entrepreneurs usually can’t afford to attend. With that in mind, Keir had the idea of running a free two-day event that would feature talks and discussions aimed to help young webpreneurs kick-ass and feel inspired. (We’ve compiled a quick video for you all.)

Well, Carsonified Summer Camp ‘09 just finished and it was an absolute blast :) Our lovely campers where @mattdempseycom, @veritech, @robday, @ffffelix, @gpirie, @rossbearman, @erakor and @jamesproud. Thanks to our speakers as well: @mrjoe and @jonathanhowell
I’d like to thank Trista for organizing the event – she did an amazing job. Also, a huge thanks to Sun Startup Essentials for buying the food and drinks :)

I know I speak on behalf of all the SummerCamp attendees when I say that the last couple of days has been absolutely amazing, a truly great experience, totally invaluable and extremely generous of Carsonified to take the time out to organise and run such a great event.
I’d just like to re-iterate Ryan’s thanks, @tristamyers did an incredible job organising everything so an extra big thanks to her, to Ryan, Gill, Mike and Keir from Carsonified for their awesome presentations (and Keir for having the SummerCamp idea in the first place!), and also to @mrjoe and @jonathanhowell for coming in to present especially for us! And lastly thanks to Sun Startup Essentials for paying for all the food/drink and goodies!
Thanks guys! It was awesome!

And you passed yourself off as the expert! So that is why Amaury was saying that we weren’t playing the manly version.

Thanks again to the whole Carsonified team for the opportunity to attend. Was truly an amazing two days, the speakers were great and I now have relationships with people whom I regard as geniuses in their fields, willing to give me further advice.
The main problem we all had, was the desire for there to be another day! Once you enter the Carsonified offices you never want to leave.
As attendees we also thank Sun Startup hugely for their sponsorship of the event, without them I may have gone hungry! :)
Thank you once again Ryan for the opportunity and welcoming us into your offices. I think you should offer Trista a full-time job once she finishes her degree! Those s’mores were lovely, might have exploded if I had any more though.

And we can pray! I can’t wait to see it there more than anyone ha!

Attending Carsonified Summer Camp was amazing!
Speakers were extremely good!
Everything was perfect!
I learned so much from this experience (namely that Sean W. Scott is still an actor ;-) )
Many thanks to the Carsonified Team!

I’m just reiterating what James and Matt have already said here, but thank you so much to the Carsonified team for having us, especially to Trista for putting the whole event together. It was an experience totally unlike any other event before and I managed to learn absolutely tons of new skills – the presentations were top-notch. Also props to Sun for sponsoring all the drinks!
Thanks again for the opportunity, I had an amazing time.

I’ll echo Matt’s comments and say it was an absolute blast the last two days hanging out with the Carsonified crew and the rest of the guys. There was a lot of great talks and presentations given as well as all the discussions that happened around those topics, I definitely learnt a lot.
Again I’d just like to thank the whole Carsonified crew for letting us all hang out in your office for two days, and to Trista for organising it all and baking those great smores!
Thanks again guys and I’ll come and say hi when you reach Glasgow on the FOWD Tour.

Already spammed Twitter with my thoughts, but again, what’s a fantastic two days. I’ve got nothing but respect for the Carsonified team, what a great bunch of people!
You’ll have to try out my “no contact details” idea from my own site, Ryan!
